Grading Rubric for Class Discussion:

Use the following three-point rubric to evaluate how well students participate in class discussions on sensitive topics, understand the responsibilities associated with being a parent, and apply what they learned to their own lives. The student will also respond to discussion questions regarding different ethic groups and the statistics that go along with high teenage pregnancy rates. With inclusion on the layers of culture. Which aspect do you find the most influencial. As well as discuss the influence the media plays on teenage pregnancy.

  • Three points: participated actively in class discussion; demonstrated above-average ability to discuss issues with maturity and insight; demonstrated good understanding of the responsibilities associated with being a parent; showed strong ability to apply what the student has learned to his or her own life. The student also incorporates the idea of the media and teenage pregnancy and what should be done about it.The student gives their opinon on which layer of cultural and which aspect they found most convincing of why teenagers have babys.
